A milk bucket is a drink obtained from using a bucket on cows, mooshrooms and goats that can be consumed to clear all effects.

Mob loot

A milk bucket has an 8.5%‌^{[JE only]}/25%‌^{[BE only]} chance of dropping from a wandering trader, if the trader is killed while holding it (when drinking it to get rid of the Invisiblity effect Wandering Traders equip in danger or at night/rain). The drop chance increases by 1% per level of Looting used.

Usage

To drink milk, press and hold use while it is selected in the hotbar. Drinking it immediately removes all status effects from the player and returns an empty bucket. Note that fire is not a status effect; therefore, drinking milk doesn't extinguish a burning player.

In Java Edition, the drinking animation for milk is shown only in first-person camera mode.

The benefits of area status effects (granted by beacons, Potent Sulfur noxious gas and conduits) are restored almost immediately in Bedrock Edition and after a few seconds in Java Edition.

							Squid can now be milked by right-clicking on their mouth if part of their body was exposed to air or if they were not touching another block. An easy way to accomplish this is to pull a squid with a fishing rod away from other blocks and then milk it. This was due to squid re-using the AI for cows.
