Fallen trees are features that resemble a tree lying on the ground after falling over.

Generation

A fallen birch with mushrooms

Regular oak, spruce, birch, super birch, jungle, and poplar trees can generate as fallen trees. Any variant trees such as fancy oaks, 2×2 variants, or trees with bee nests are not able to be replaced by fallen trees. Therefore, fallen trees can be found in all biomes where their standing tree variants grow, except the following:

Fallen trees consist of a single upright log, making the stump, and a log (composed of a row of log blocks) lying on its side, making the trunk. The trunk is often found 1–2 blocks from the stump, but does not always generate. Fallen trees have the following trunk lengths:

  • EnvSprite fallen-oak.png: Sprite image for fallen-oak in Minecraft Oak: 4–7 logs
  • EnvSprite fallen-birch.png: Sprite image for fallen-birch in Minecraft Birch: 5–8 logs
  • EnvSprite fallen-birch.png: Sprite image for fallen-birch in Minecraft Super Birch: 5–15 logs
  • EnvSprite fallen-spruce.png: Sprite image for fallen-spruce in Minecraft Spruce: 6–10 logs
  • EnvSprite fallen-jungle-tree.png: Sprite image for fallen-jungle-tree in Minecraft Jungle: 4–11 logs
  • EnvSprite fallen-poplar.png: Sprite image for fallen-poplar in Minecraft Poplar: 4–7 logs

Fallen spruce and birch trees can generate with 1–2 red mushrooms on top of it; fallen poplar and birch trees can generate with 1–2 brown mushrooms on top of it. The stump has a 75% chance to generate with vines growing on its sides, except fallen spruce and birch trees. Fallen poplar trees can also generate with shelf mushrooms on their trunk.

Notes

  1. ↑ This is because meadows only have trees with bee nests which cannot be replaced by fallen trees.
  2. ↑ This is because groves technically use different mountain_pine_feature and mountain_spruce_feature trees to generate dirt.
  3. ↑ Only has fancy oak and mega jungle trees, no regular.
