A glow lichen is a feature that consist of several (1-3) glow lichen blocks, not diagonally within each feature.
Generation
Glow lichen feature can be found in all the Overworld cave biomes. It generates on the four sides and lower surface of stone-like blocks including 
stone, 
andesite, 
diorite, 
granite, 
dripstone block, 
calcite, 
tuff, 
cinnabar, 
sulfur and 
deepslate. It generates only in air and water.
In Bedrock Edition, glow lichen features are far more common in sulfur caves.
