A copper golem statue is the result of a copper golem fully oxidizing and petrifying into a block. It can be posed in four different ways, or it can be reanimated by scraping it with an axe enough times.
Obtaining
Breaking
Copper golem statues can be broken by hand, but using a pickaxe is the fastest. A copper golem statue retains its pose when broken.

- incorrect tool, drops nothing
- correct tool, drops nothing or something other than the block itself
- correct tool, drops the block itself
- italicized can be instant mined
- ↑ These durations ignore any other influential factors (e.g., Mining Fatigue) and are measured in seconds. For more information, see Breaking § Mining efficiency.
Natural generation
An oxidized copper golem statue generates in abandoned camps.
Post-generation
Once fully oxidized, a copper golem has a 0.58% chance per tick to become a copper golem statue and take a random pose, provided it is not waxed and is fully located in air (that is, a copper golem cannot turn into a statue while underwater or standing on a partial block such as a slab, as part of its hitbox is not located within an air block). This process takes 8.62 seconds on average. During the transformation, any items held by the copper golem are dropped.
Usage
Posing
Interacting with a copper golem statue changes its pose, cycling through four poses: standing, sitting, running, and star. In Bedrock Edition, the player's hand must be empty in order to cycle through poses.

Oxidation
Unwaxed copper golem statues have four stages of oxidation, including the initial normal state. Lightning bolts and axes can remove the oxidation on copper golems statues. Using a honeycomb on a copper golem statue prevents it from oxidizing.
As the block begins to oxidize (exposed), it gets discolored and green spots begin to appear. As the oxidation continues (weathered), the block is a green color with brown spots. In the last stage (oxidized), the block is teal with several green spots.
Reanimation
Using an axe on an unoxidized unwaxed copper golem statue reanimates it into an unoxidized unwaxed copper golem.
Piston interactivity
Copper golem statues break when pushed by pistons, cannot be pulled by them and they don't stick to slime blocks or honey blocks.
Redstone component
A redstone comparator can read the state of a copper golem statue and emit a signal strength based on its pose.

Block data
A copper golem statue has a block entity associated with it that holds additional data about the block.
- [NBT Compound / JSON Object] Block entity data
- Tags common to all block entities see Template:Nbt inherit/blockentity/template
Item data
- [NBT Compound / JSON Object] components: the item's components tag.
- [String][NBT List / JSON Array][NBT Compound / JSON Object] minecraft:custom_name: The player-assigned name of this item, block, or entity, typically assigned with an anvil or a name tag. See Text component format.
- If present on an item, this component has highest priority to display as the item's name, and appears italic unless overridden by the text component format.
- If present on an entity, it will replace the entity's name tag, will show the name tag to players when they hover over the entity (unless invisible), and will appear as that entity's name in commands and chat messages.
- If present on a block with a GUI (such as a container), this replaces the name at the top of the GUI.
- If present on a command block, this replaces the execution context name when the command is ran.

Trivia
- "Waxed Weathered Copper Golem Statue" is the longest name of a block currently in Java Edition, at 35 characters including spaces and 31 without, surpassing the previously tied record holders of polished blackstone pressure plate and cracked polished blackstone bricks by a single space.
- The longest block names in Bedrock Edition are "Hardened Light Blue Stained Glass Pane" and "Hardened Light Gray Stained Glass Pane", both having 38 characters including spaces and 33 without. However, these blocks are only available when enabling the "Minecraft Education features" cheat setting when outside of Minecraft Education.
- The all-time record in Java Edition is currently held by "Waxed Lightly Weathered Cut Copper Stairs", at 41 characters including spaces and 36 without, though the block has been renamed since.
