Designed as a companion mod for the Dungeon Train modpack — a moving roguelike dungeon train adventure for Minecraft.
Ender Chest Persistence solves a core problem in roguelike adventures: your Ender Chest resets every time you start a new world. This mod makes your Ender Chest truly persistent — your items survive world resets, and your Creative stash stays separate from your Survival gear.
Your Ender Chest contents are saved globally, not tied to any specific world. When you die and start a fresh world in Dungeon Train, your Ender Chest is exactly where you left it. Build up a persistent stash of powerful gear across multiple runs.
Switching between Survival, Creative, Adventure, and Spectator automatically swaps your Ender Chest inventory. Your Creative build materials stay separate from your Survival run. Each game mode gets its own dedicated Ender Chest space.
Every player has their own independent persistent Ender Chest, tied to their UUID. Multiplayer works out of the box — your stash is yours alone.
Drop it in and it works. No commands, no configuration screens, no setup required. The mod operates silently in the background, saving your inventory on logout and restoring it on login.
Releases are available for NeoForge, Forge, and Fabric on Minecraft 1.21.1.
Dungeon Train is a roguelike experience — you ride a procedurally generated dungeon train, fight enemies, collect loot, and eventually die and begin a new run. By default, Minecraft resets your Ender Chest when a new world starts. The one storage system that was supposed to persist across your adventures actually resets every run.
Ender Chest Persistence fixes this. Your Ender Chest becomes a true cross-run stash: a place to bank rare items, preserve your best equipment, and gradually build your power over many runs. It is the essential persistence layer for any roguelike Minecraft experience.
Already bundled inside the Dungeon Train mod — if you are playing Dungeon Train you already have this. This standalone release is for pack authors and players who want the same behaviour in their own worlds and modpacks.
