Beta. An early release: expect bugs, and back up your worlds before trying it. Report problems on the Discord.
Cubic chunks for Minecraft 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. The world is generated, saved, sent and drawn in 16×16×16 cubes instead of full-height columns, so a world can be tens of thousands of blocks tall and only the cubes around players exist.

Generate a world using the Default (Cubic) option, vanilla's terrain as it is, with room to build up to Y 16 383 and dig down as far (caves generate below -64).
32 768 blocks tall by default, about a million with the HUGE preset. Normal world types are untouched.

With Better Distant Horizons the LODs are 3D cubes too: detail drops with distance up and down, only the space around you is generated and drawn, underground sections wait while you are in daylight, and real chunks are handed over with their real light. Normal Distant Horizons 3.3 works too, without the 3D LODs.

Realistic Earth: the real Earth at any scale, built on Better Cubic Chunks. At life size Everest is 8 849 blocks tall and the Mariana Trench 11 km deep.

Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, Fabric (with Fabric API) or NeoForge 21.1. Needed on the server and on every client; a client without it gets a clear message instead of a broken world. Better Distant Horizons is optional.
