Bring Twitch chat directly into Minecraft with badges, animated emotes, replies, channel-point redemptions, Shared Chat support, and more.
Twitch Chat Bridge is a client-side Fabric mod that mixes messages from one or more Twitch channels into normal Minecraft chat. It is designed to feel like a natural part of the game while still preserving Twitch features such as badges, emotes, username colors, replies, events, and channel identity.
Twitch messages appear directly inside normal Minecraft chat
Connect to multiple Twitch channels simultaneously
Select which channel /tc sends messages to
Send a one-time message to another configured channel
Optional timestamps, channel prefixes, and profile pictures
Per-channel mute and display settings
Readable gray fallback for pure-black Twitch usernames
Twitch global and channel badges
Static and animated Twitch emotes
Best-effort Twitch GIF Keyboard support
7TV global and channel emotes
BetterTTV global and channel emotes
FrankerFaceZ channel emotes
Separate per-channel controls for avatars, badges, and emotes
Twitch reply previews inside Minecraft chat
Click a username to prepare a message to that user
Click the username on a reply to continue the same Twitch reply thread
Reply to the latest message in any configured channel
Replies are sent through Twitch’s proper reply system instead of only inserting @username
The mod can display:
New subscriptions
Resubscriptions
Gift subscriptions
Community gifts
Raids
Announcements
Bits and cheers
Channel-point redemptions
Silent rewards such as Hydrate and Stretch
Silent channel-point rewards are available for the broadcaster account that authorized the application. Twitch does not allow one account to receive private redemption events from unrelated broadcasters.
Choose what happens when Twitch deletes a message, times out a user, or clears chat:
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Remove | Removes the affected Twitch message from Minecraft chat |
| Cross out | Keeps the message visible but marks and strikes it out |
| Leave alone | Ignores the Twitch moderation update |
Minecraft and server messages are never modified by this feature.
Detect your Twitch name, Minecraft name, or custom aliases
Checks only the message body—not the sender’s username
Configurable notification sound
Adjustable sound volume and pitch
Configurable alert cooldown
Built-in test button
Your own messages do not trigger alerts
Twitch Chat Bridge includes a persistent local cache for:
Avatars
Badges
Twitch emotes
Animated GIFs
7TV, BTTV, and FFZ provider data
Animated assets are processed using a minimum-priority background worker. GIF frames are combined into compact texture atlases instead of creating a separate GPU texture for every frame.
Performance controls include:
GIF frame-rate limit
Pause animations while Minecraft chat is closed
Simultaneous image-download limit
Completed-image upload limit
Enable or disable the disk cache
Configurable cache-size limit
Clear-cache button

Twitch requires chat applications to identify themselves with a Client ID.
You only need a Client ID. Never enter a Client Secret into Minecraft.
Open the Twitch Developer Console.
Register a new application.
Set the application/client type to Public.
Use http://localhost for the redirect URL.
Copy the application’s Client ID.
Start Minecraft and run /tc config.
Paste the Client ID and select Connect Twitch.
Approve the requested permissions in your browser.
Add any additional channels from the Channels menu.
The mod uses Twitch’s Device Code login flow, so you do not need to paste an OAuth token manually.
Access and refresh tokens are stored locally in:
config/twitch-chat-bridge.json
The mod automatically:
Refreshes the access token before it expires
Saves the new access token
Saves rotated refresh tokens
Retries temporary refresh failures
Asks you to reconnect if authorization is permanently lost
Your Client Secret is never requested or stored.
You can add multiple Twitch channels and independently configure each one.
Every channel supports:
Enable or disable
Mute
Custom prefix
Custom prefix color
Avatar toggle
Badge toggle
Emote and GIF toggle
Outgoing-channel selection
When Twitch Shared Chat provides source-channel information, the mod uses it to display the correct:
Channel profile picture
Channel badges
Channel-specific emotes
Channel identity
Mirrored Shared Chat messages are automatically deduplicated when possible.

Twitch
7TV
BetterTTV
FrankerFaceZ
Main configuration:
config/twitch-chat-bridge.json
Downloaded asset cache:
config/twitch-chat-bridge-cache
Settings can also be exported and imported through the configuration screen. OAuth access and refresh tokens are deliberately excluded from exported settings.
Twitch does not currently provide a consistently documented GIF fragment format through its public EventSub chat documentation.
The mod searches unknown message fragments for supported media URLs and displays the GIF when Twitch supplies one. If Twitch does not include a usable media URL, the text supplied by Twitch is displayed instead.
