Tanks | Drivable Battle Tank (Java)

Choose a craftable battle tank with an explosive cannon or the Piranha, a smaller and faster tankette with an automatic machine gun. Both vehicles offer independent hull steering and a freely aiming turret. Aim at a block or mob, wait for the barrel to line up, and fire. The sights compensate for the shell's arc so distant shots are easier to place.

Crafting and controls

Craft the tank with iron blocks (I), a blast furnace (F), and smooth stone (S):

Use the tank item on open ground to deploy it. Right-click to enter and sneak to leave. Use W/S to drive and A/D to turn the hull. Look around to aim the turret, then press R to fire. The fire key can be changed in Minecraft Controls. Use an iron ingot on a stopped, unoccupied tank to repair 10 armor.

Craft the Piranha with three iron blocks (I), a dispenser (D), and three smooth stone blocks (S):

Enter and drive it like the battle tank, but hold R for automatic fire. The Piranha has 50 armor and is 1.5 times faster. Its bullets reach up to 64 blocks, stop at walls, and are much less effective against armored vehicles. Long bursts increase spread and heat the gun; an overheated gun must cool before firing again. Bullets do not break terrain and ammunition is unlimited.

Installation

Install the Tanks and Zero Lib builds for the same Minecraft version and loader on both client and server. Architectury API is also required, plus Fabric API on Fabric.
