Takas Toking
Takas Toking is a mod that allowed the spawning of a "funny" herb across the lands. Having different variants spawn across the different biomes; exploring your world just got a fresh kick of enjoyment.
9 Variants of Herbs
There are 8 naturally spawning variants, and 1 "God of all" variant that can be obtained by crafting.
- OG Kush
- Blueberry
- Haze
- Dream Star
- Green Crack
- Purple Haze
- Blue Dream
- Pineapple Express
- Northern Lights
2 New Biomes
There are 2 new biomes that can naturally generate in your world.
- "UV Realm" is a biome in which the sky turns to a funky purple, water is 90's anime bright blue, and there are herbs as far as the eye can see. Alongside all this; there is a new wood type thanks to the new "Shadow Trees". Nothing exceptional comes from it, but the funky purple wood is worth the trip. Very enjoyable realm that would be a perfect place to farm these new herbs, and to build a house (funky vibes required).
- "Shadow Realm" is a biome in which the sky turns black, subtle fog and smoke particles cover the land. Bones scatter across, and the floor is laid with obsidian. This biome is VERY hard to come across, but if you manage, creating Netherite tools won't be so difficult. For now...
New Ore
A new Ore titled "High Rocks". This ore spawns less frequently than emeralds; and require a diamond pickaxe or more to obtain. Upon obtaining the High Rocks, opportunity of crafting variant weapon and armor is possible.
The Process
There will be a video coming out soon that will showcase everything, and give you crafting recipes for what you need. If you wish to play this now before receiving the video, I'd recommend installing J.E.I. alongside this mod, to help display anything you may have questions for.
However, the usual process goes like this:
- Adventure out in your world and find the new herbs.
- Upon arriving at an herb, you break it to obtain its "bud" version.
- With the bud, you can either put it into a stone cutter to grind it up to dust, or place it into a furnace to smelt it into wax*.
- If grinded to dust, you can place that with wrapping papers, or your bowl piece to make use of the herb.
- If smelted into wax, you must craft a "Rig" to properly use the wax. Both of these instances are similar to potion making.
- If the player wishes to obtain the ability to plant these herbs, one can do that by taking the original bud they received from earlier, and craft it with 8 bone meal. This will give you the plant which allows you to plant it wherever you want.
