A casino cabinet for your base. Pull the lever, watch three reels stop one by one and take home whatever the machine decides to give you — from a handful of iron to a nether star.
No mod is required to play it. Craft the machine, craft some tokens and spin. With FTB Quests installed it also adds a quest reward that pays out in free spins, so finishing a quest ends with the reels turning instead of a chest full of items.

Three sevens, and the whole server hears about it.
Right-click the machine, then press SPIN, pull the lever, or hit Space. The reels stop left to right and the sign lights up with what you won:

Every prize and its real chance, straight from the pool the next spin uses.
The PRIZES button opens the prize table: every tier of the pool your next spin draws from, the real percentage it is rolled with, and every item you can win with how many of it. If a pack changes the pool, the table changes with it — nothing is hardcoded in the screen.

Two blocks tall, lit by its own marquee bulbs, with a lever that drops when somebody spins.
The Slot Machine is a two-block-tall golden cabinet whose bulbs give off light. Place it in your base and spend Slot Tokens on it, one token per spin, standing within 8 blocks of it. When somebody spins, the lever drops for every player nearby.
Both recipes are unlocked from the start, in any world:
A pack can also give a reward pool a token of its own: any item, worth one spin or several. You carry it like any other item and the machine takes it before your Slot Tokens, showing which token pays for the next spin.

An Epic win paid out by a quest reward.
FTB Quests gains a reward type, Slot Machine Spin. Set how many spins it gives (1 to 100) and which reward pool they draw from; claiming it opens the machine on the spot. In the quest book the reward shows the machine itself with the number of spins on it.
Those spins are free ones: they work anywhere, they are used before your tokens, and they are saved on the player rather than on the screen — close the machine halfway through a streak and the rest are still waiting for you, even after you die. Each spin remembers the pool of the quest that gave it, so an early quest and a late one can pay out of completely different tables.
Without FTB Quests, /slotmachine give hands out the same free spins.
Reward pools are datapack files in data/<namespace>/slot_pools/<name>.json, reloaded with /reload. A tier has a weight and either a list of items with a minimum and maximum amount, or a Pricetag budget:
{ "token": "mymod:gold_ticket", "spins_per_token": 2,
"tiers": [
{ "tier": "common", "weight": 60,
"entries": [ { "item": "minecraft:iron_ingot", "min": 4, "max": 12 } ] },
{ "tier": "jackpot", "weight": 2, "pricetag_budget": 262144 }
] }
questslotmachine:default pays out vanilla items, from iron and bread up to netherite and a nether star. It is the pool of Slot Tokens and of quests that don't name one.token, and spins_per_token (1 to 64) when one is worth more than a single spin. A player carrying it spends it at a machine straight from the inventory, before any Slot Token; one token pays for the spin and the rest wait in the free spin queue of that pool. Carrying the tokens of several pools, they go in pool id order. A pool cannot claim the Slot Token itself — that one follows the tokenPool setting.pricetag_budget and no items picks a random item from any mod in the pack, in a stack worth about that much. It never picks anything worth more than the budget, spawn eggs, or items in the #questslotmachine:never_reward tag (command blocks, barriers, bedrock, spawners…). questslotmachine:pricetag is a ready-made pool that works this way. Without Pricetag those tiers are simply skipped./slotmachine give <players> <spins> [pool] queues spins and opens the machine, exactly like the quest reward — handy from KubeJS, a command block or a command reward. /slotmachine open <players> just opens it.config/questslotmachine-common.toml: pitySpins (25, or 0 to turn it off), announceJackpot, maxFreeSpins (100), tokenPool and reach (8 blocks). On a server, the server's values are the ones that count.All rights reserved, with two exceptions: any modpack on CurseForge or Modrinth may include this mod, and anyone may write add-ons for it without bundling it.
