Dig up fossils, incubate eggs and raise your own dinosaurs – then ride them.
Prehistoric Wilds adds four fully animated prehistoric creatures that fit the vanilla look: blocky, hand-painted, with smooth animations for every action. No new GUIs or complicated machines are needed. You use the vanilla Brush, a single Incubator and your own hands.
| Diet | Behaviour | Mount | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tyrannosaurus | Meat | Territorial apex predator. It roars when it spots prey, and the roar leaves nearby monsters weakened and slowed. | Heavy, unstoppable ground mount |
| Velociraptor | Meat | Hunts in packs of 2–4 and pounces on prey. If you hurt one, the whole pack comes for you. Takes no fall damage. | Fastest ground mount |
| Triceratops | Wheat, berries, melon, apples, leaves | Peaceful herd animal with heavy armour. It only fights back, with a powerful headbutt. | Sturdy ground mount |
| Pteranodon | Fish | Soars over coasts, jungles and mountains, and dives at anyone who attacks it. | Flying mount |
Every creature has hand-made animations: idle, walk and run with properly planted feet, roar, bite, and sleep (they really close their eyes at night). The Pteranodon also has wing-flapping, gliding and a folded-wing walk on the ground. Babies are smaller with bigger heads and grow up over time.
G G = Glass
CMC C = Copper Ingot
CCC M = Magma Block
Wild adults can be tamed too. Keep feeding them their favourite food until hearts appear. The T-Rex is the hardest to win over.
Spawn biomes are biome tags (prehistoricwilds:spawns_<creature>), so datapacks can change them.
