Then check out Mother of Pearl! v1.9.7 This mod attempts to add a bit of excitement to those otherwise boring oceans.

Step One: Make a shovel

Step Two: Go harvest clay. (A lot of clay)

Step Three: Become an oyster farmer.

You can use oysters to make new tools, armor, and such, all made out of pearls, or shells.
