Falling Meteors [Unofficial Fork] is an unofficial Forge 1.20.1 Fork of AlexDGr8r’s Falling Meteors Mod, recreated to preserve the original mod’s gameplay and features as closely as possible for modern Minecraft.
The mod adds five different types of meteors that can naturally crash down into your world. Inside their remains are powerful materials used to craft unique tools, armor, and weapons, each with their own special abilities. From surviving meteor impacts to collecting rare ores, taming unusual creatures, and unlocking powerful gear, Falling Meteors brings chaotic events and rewarding progression to your world.
Players can now create their own custom meteors in-game using the following command: /custommeteor add [meteor_name] [block_id_1] [block_id_2] [block_id_3]. Custom meteors are saved automatically and added to the config file, where they can be enabled or disabled individually and have their spawn probabilities adjusted just like the built-in meteor types. Meteors can also spawn entities of your choosing with /meteorentity [meteor name] [entity id]. You can also make meteors spawn in specific biomes only now with /meteorbiome [meteor name] [biome id].
This is an unofficial Forge 1.20.1 Fork of the original Falling Meteors Mod.
The goal of this port is to keep the original mod’s content, mechanics, and feel intact while updating it to work on modern Forge versions. Some internal systems may have been rewritten or modernized for compatibility with Minecraft 1.20.1, but the intention is to preserve the original experience as closely as possible.
