Description
Welcome to cOre!
Yes I know the logo is bad, I was in a rush.
cOre is a private mod I've had since about 1.7, but finally decided to release it.
The mod allows you to fully fine-tune the spawn rates, drops, and many other features of a number of ores.
The mod overrides all 8 vanilla ores, as well as adding a number of popular ores commonly found around other mods. On top of that, by default there are a number of "fantasy" type ores, which have no specified use. You can, of course, disable them, or assign uses for your server (I personally have admin shops buying them for economy reasons) - or maybe change their ore dictionary entry to use with another mod.
By default, the ores will drop as items (lovingly textured in Runescape 2 style!), but that can also be configured. They have a chance to drop secondary items as well.
Configurable Options!
This will vary depending on the specific ore, but generally you can configure:
- Whether it can spawn
- The maximum and minimum size of an ore vein (I don't recommend going over about 50)
- The maximum and minimum world height it can spawn at
- The number of veins per chunk
- The change (percentage) that a vein will spawn when it tries. if veins per chunk is 10, and chance is 50%, you'll find about 5 veins on average.
- A list of dimensions it CANNOT spawn in (By default it will spawn in other mod-added dimensions!)
- A list of biomes it CAN spawn in (by default, will spawn in all biomes)
- The unlocalized name of what to drop when broken (it can drop any block/item, from any mod!)
- The same again, for a secondary item
- The min/max number to drop of the main item
- The min/max number to drop of the secondary item
- The percentage chance each for the primary and secondary item (set either to 0 to disable)
- Whether the drops should be dropped for "fake players" (blocks, such as some quarries etc)
- The ore dictionary names for the ore (block and item), ingot, dust, tiny dust, nugget and refined block
- The harvest level of the block (which tools can mine it?)
- The amount of experience that is dropped
- How long it takes to break the ore
- How much RF power machines will consume to process the ore
And a whole bunch of cosmetic things! Combining with a custom resource pack, you can replace any ore with something of your choice entirely!
Partial support for Tinkers Construct and Thermal Expansion is included. Future releases will add tool parts for Tinkers, and more TE recipes!
Tip: Combine all four coloured "stone" dusts in a smeltery for a more potent fuel than your boring ol' lava!
This is designed for modpacks, so of course you can include it in one! A comment here to let me know would be great
