Chop one log with an axe — the whole tree falls at once.
Timber is a vanilla datapack for Minecraft: Java Edition 26.3. No mods, no plugins, no resource pack. Just drop it in and start chopping.
How it works
- Hold any axe (wooden to netherite) in your main hand.
- Break a single log block.
- Every log connected to that tree breaks instantly and drops as items.
- Leaves are left alone — they decay naturally, dropping saplings and apples like vanilla.
Breaking logs by hand does nothing special. The axe requirement keeps it balanced and griefing-free.
Features
- Axe-only trigger — fells trees only when chopping with an axe
- Every tree type — oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, pale oak, nether stems, bamboo + stripped variants
- Natural leaf decay — vanilla sapling and apple drops
- Anti-lag cap — max 128 logs per tree
- Multiplayer-safe — per-player detection
- Admin control — /function timber:info for help, /function timber:config/toggle for global on/off
Installation
- Download the .zip.
