Vault-Tec Mash-up (also known as Fallout Mash-up or Minecraft: Fallout Edition)[1][2] is a mash-up pack released on December 21, 2016, based off the Fallout RPG (later RPG/FPS hybrid) video game franchise. It includes a skin pack, resource pack and a world template.
World template
Vault-Tec Mash-up includes a world template that contains several different recreations of locations from Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
The world template is roughly in the shape of the continental United States. Along with several recreations of locations found throughout the Fallout franchise, the world contains multiple standard Minecraft structures like an Ocean Monument and a Stronghold. Four Villages (Pre-1.14) also appear on the world, albeit in a post-apocalyptic state, being made of "scrap metal."
The distribution of locations roughly matches with the geography of each respective area in the Fallout universe. Fallout locations in the desert in the southwest, matching Southern California, Fallout 2 locations in the mountainous northwest, corresponding to Northern California and Oregon, Fallout 3 locations in the swampy southeast, analogous to Washington D.C., and finally Fallout 4 locations in the forested northeast, matching with Massachusetts. The world has an extensive underground minecart network, inspired by the metro tunnels present in Fallout 3. This circles around the whole map, with entrances at Sanctuary Hills, Trinity Tower, Diamond City, The Mall, Tenpenny Tower, the Cathedral, and Vault City.
Beyond identifiable recreations, there are also more general decorations, including crashed vertibirds, broken vehicles, destroyed roads, and ruined buildings.
