Alien Invasion is a map that was created to demonstrate the at the time planned add-ons for Bedrock Edition. It was first showcased on June 13, 2016 during the Microsoft Xbox press conference at E3 2016,^[1] a recording of the press conference segment that featured the map was uploaded to the Xbox YouTube channel 3 days later on June 17, 2016.^[2] On October 21, 2016, the map was made available for download on minecraft.net.^[3] At the same time, a playthrough of the map was uploaded to the Minecraft YouTube channel.^[4]

• The alien invasion textures are based on the City Texture Pack
  • This can be seen by the textures resolution, style and villager textures. This was even mentioned by the developers of the map
• The reskinned wither skeleton resembles a villager version of one of the men in black.
