Made for fear, not for postcards. Grey mornings. A weak, dirty sun. Nights lit only by a cold moon. Caves that swallow the light. Torches that reach a few blocks and tremble.
Works on its own in any world. Made to be played with the Stalker Entity mod, where it reacts to your sanity.
WHAT YOU SEE
Light — soft sun and moon shadows, light shafts through the trees, black caves, small warm torches that flicker, ambient occlusion in every corner
Night — a cold blue moonlight you can just see by; colour fades the way it does for real eyes in the dark; full moons are bright, new moons are not
Sky — drifting clouds lit by the sun or the moon, our own star field and Milky Way, a round moon with seas, phases and a faint halo, a dull sun that never blinds you
Atmosphere — a light haze over the world and patchy mist that lies in the valleys at night and at dawn
Water and rain — black still water that mirrors the sky, wet dark ground and puddles, rain that closes the sky into one grey veil
Picture — film grain, vignette, a touch of lens aberration, VHS tearing, a glow around lights and glowing eyes

WITH THE STALKER ENTITY MOD
Install the mod and Oculus, and the mod tells the shaders what is happening to you:
Sanity — colour drains away, the grain thickens, your sight narrows, the picture breathes and beats with your heart, and at the very end it shakes
Blood moon — the moon turns red as your mind goes
Fear — when something hunts you, the fog closes in until the world ends a few blocks away, and the thing chasing you is only a shape at the last moment
Glitches — the mod's glitch moments tear the screen apart
Its worlds — the labyrinth, Bedrock.Error, the glitch void and the false save each get their own look, and the mod's creatures look a little wrong

WITHOUT THE MOD
Everything above the red box works in any world, with or without other mods. The sanity, fear, blood moon and glitch effects simply stay off. Nothing to configure.
REQUIRED
Forge: Oculus + Embeddium
Fabric / NeoForge: Iris + Sodium
Made and tested on Minecraft 1.20.1. OptiFine is not supported.
Drop the zip into .minecraft/shaderpacks, then pick it in Video Settings → Shader Packs. Do not unzip it.
SETTINGS
Four quality profiles: Low for weak PCs, Medium as intended, High and Ultra for longer and sharper shadows.
Darkness, moonlight, daylight, torch light, fog, mist, clouds, stars, glow, grain and every effect of the mod can be tuned or turned off. Menus in English and Russian.
Photosensitivity mode (Accessibility): no flashes, no flicker, no heartbeat pulsing, no shaking. Please turn it on if flashing images are a problem for you.
