The ClayGrounds Resource Pack provides the complete visual and audio presentation for the ClayGrounds island RPG experience built with DAI Engine 4.2.
Designed as the companion to the ClayGrounds Data Pack, it replaces ordinary Minecraft presentation with custom class equipment, native DAI enemy and NPC models, specialized textures, particles, interface artwork, HUD elements, environmental scenes, music, and combat audio.
The gameplay systems themselves are provided by the ClayGrounds Data Pack.
This pack gives that adventure its identity.
ClayGrounds v1.3.x completely redesigned its creature presentation around DAI-native mesh actors rather than the older multipart item-display system.
Current custom enemy models include:
Every creature has its own purpose-built silhouette instead of simply disguising a vanilla mob.
The designs include details such as luminous cores, clay armor, roots, moss growth, fangs, ruin plating, kiln structures, built-in weapon silhouettes, tidal features, and boss-scale geometry.
The Shorewarden receives a dedicated boss presentation separate from the standard enemy roster.
Its model uses a much larger silhouette built around:
The Resource Pack also includes dedicated Shorewarden audio for its boss encounter.
The residents of ClayGrounds each have their own native visual model.
Current NPCs include:
Each character has individually authored geometry designed to communicate their role and personality through their silhouette and accessories.
They are not ordinary villagers with renamed textures.
They are dedicated ClayGrounds characters.
Every current enemy and NPC uses a dedicated 32×32 material set composed of:
DAI's native mesh rendering allows those materials to be assigned to separate portions of the model.
Glow sections can render as fullbright elements, allowing magical runes, cores, eyes, and other important details to remain visually distinct from the surrounding environment.
The Resource Pack contains dedicated equipment and skill visuals for all four ClayGrounds professions.
Each class therefore has a recognizable visual language rather than sharing ordinary Minecraft weapons and placeholder icons.
ClayGrounds' common utility items also receive their own custom presentation:
Together with the profession-specific equipment, these form the visual language of the player's ClayGrounds hotbar and combat kit.
Class attacks and world effects are supported by a dedicated particle library.
Current ClayGrounds particles include:
These effects allow individual abilities and environmental moments to communicate their identity through color, motion, and impact rather than relying entirely on vanilla Minecraft particles.
ClayGrounds includes its own sound library for combat, abilities, progression, and major encounters.
Current custom sounds include effects for:
This gives classes and progression audible feedback matching the rest of the experience.
The Resource Pack includes a dedicated Solmere theme for the starting region.
This allows the central settlement to establish its own atmosphere rather than relying entirely on Minecraft's normal music rotation.
ClayGrounds replaces several major pieces of the standard Minecraft HUD presentation.
Custom interface assets include:
The underlying Minecraft systems remain functional while their presentation is adapted to fit the ClayGrounds RPG interface.
The Resource Pack contains the artwork used by ClayGrounds' custom startup and loading flow.
This includes:
Combined with DAI's experience loading system, entering ClayGrounds feels like launching its own game rather than simply opening another Minecraft world.
v1.3.3 introduced a completely redesigned ClayGrounds pause presentation, carried forward into v1.3.4.
The previous heavier 3D pause environment was replaced by a dedicated fullscreen illustrated harbor scene inspired by the colorful interface style of classic online RPGs.
The artwork supports the ClayGrounds pause actions for:
The decorative scene is deliberately separated from live player statistics so visual artwork does not pretend to display character values it does not actually know.
In v1.3.4, this same presentation now serves both the normal Escape pause route and the configured Grave experience control through DAI's pack-defined screen routing.
The Resource Pack also contains a collection of authored DAI scene environments used throughout the wider interface.
Current scene environments include:
These environments give different parts of the ClayGrounds interface their own physical and thematic setting instead of presenting every screen over the same generic background.
The current Resource Pack no longer depends on the old multipart display-rig approach for enemies and NPCs.
ClayGrounds now uses:
Gameplay carrier + DAI-native visual actor
for enemies, and:
DAI-native visual actor + interaction hitbox + label
for NPCs.
The Resource Pack provides the meshes and materials used by those visual actors.
v1.3.2 also introduced pack-side compatibility adjustments that allow these very small non-colliding visual actors to remain visible at sensible distances without expanding their horizontal gameplay footprint.
The result is better long-distance visibility without allowing decorative actors to interfere with combat or interaction.
ClayGrounds no longer needs global transparent replacements for zombies, spiders, skeletons, or other vanilla entities in order to build its custom enemies.
Visibility changes are applied only to the specific ClayGrounds gameplay carriers controlled by the Data Pack.
That means the Resource Pack can provide purpose-built ClayGrounds monsters without globally breaking the appearance of unrelated Minecraft creatures.
ClayGrounds Resource Pack v1.3.4 contains presentation assets for:
