I recently found a request from pilot3101, asking for a plugin that makes sponges useful - making it possible to create a sponge, and making sponges have a use. This plugin makes it so that a sponge will remove all water/lava in a 5 block radius (default) until broken.
When you break the sponge, the water/lava won't be put back - however, if water/lava is flowing within a 5 block radius of where the sponge was, the water/lava will begin flowing into that area.
To craft a sponge, place yellow wool in the crafting bench like so:

The config is quite simple for this plugin!
Sponge-Lava - true/false Toggle the sponge's ability to repel lava
Sponge-Water - true/false Toggle the sponge's ability to repel water
Sponge-Radius - number/int the size of the radius that the sponge will repel water/lava within
