Navigate to Other Players
Pplot is a player plotter that shows other players in order of distance from you as well as compass direction. Also shown are Essentials warp locations the players are near and their proximity to the warp.
Your compass is calibrated to line up with the standard, Minecraft coordinate system. These are the same compass directions shown when pressing [F3]. This may be turned off in the config file to prevent compass calibrating when listing nearby players. The default is switched on.
With your calibrated compass and a distance and heading combination from the list, you have what you need to get to the player. Any time you need an update on your position simply invoke /pp. This is the way compasses are normally used outside of Minecraft. The benefit of navigating to a destination is that you remain aware of where you are in relation to all the listed players, as well as other distance and heading destinations received from other plugins ie: GPS, gpsTowny and Postal.
Pplot is designed to work with Ptrack. Pplot plots the player locations for players near you. Ptrack will track a particular moving player.
Essentials is a soft depend, and optional. While the connection to warps defined by Essentials is one of the most visible attributes of this plugin, it may be switched off in the config file, leaving the player list composed of other players with their respective distances and compass headings. This is listed in order of closeness, with the number of players listed defined in the config file. The default is 8.
Just drop into your plugin directory and go.

Permissions are turned off by default to make it easy to get started. Turn on in 'config.yml' as well as set a custom permission node. Standard nodes are 'pplot.admin' and 'pplot.pplot' or op.
Other settings in 'config.yml' are the number of nearby players to list, whether to use Essentials, and, whether to line your compass up with Minecraft coordinates. Pplot automatically determines the availability of Essentials, and won't use it if it can't find it. Vault is a soft depend, and will be used, if found, to determine the desired permission system.
To change your settings go to the /va_prplot directory, off of the /plugins directory you dropped this plugin into and find the file name 'config.yml'. Use a text editor like Notepad (plus plus) to change settings as desired. Avoid changing the structure of the file, and avoid using tabs. Getting a new config.yml file is very easy if it gets messed up. Just delete it and let Prplot create a new one.
Pplot is from a larger plugin, Postal. Postal has a /plist command that provides a similar player list, but relative to Postal addresses instead of Essential warps. This plugin contains proven routines from Postal, but adapted to Essentials.
