# Wearable Lantern 2 (Forge)
Equip a Lantern or Soul Lantern in a dedicated inventory slot and carry light while keeping both hands available for tools and weapons. This edition brings the existing Wearable Lantern experience to Minecraft Forge 26.3, with a vanilla lantern model attached at the hip.
## Features

The Soul Lantern keeps its blue flame. Environmental lighting uses Minecraft’s ordinary light engine; it is not colored blue. Both client and server need this Forge edition for multiplayer.

2. Place the mod JAR in your instance’s `mods` folder. No additional mod dependencies are required.
3. Launch Minecraft and open the player inventory.
4. Place a Lantern or Soul Lantern in the dedicated lantern slot.
5. Close the inventory and explore with your hands free. Remove the lantern to stop its light.
