Thaumaturgy is a magic mod for Minecraft 1.16.5 that lets players discover and harness the hidden magical properties of the world around them. Using a special lens, players can scan objects to reveal the mystical aspects they contain, then use that knowledge to craft increasingly powerful magical items through three crafting systems — an arcane workbench, an alchemical crucible, and a ritual infusion altar. The mod adds a full research tree accessed through an in-game spellbook called the Lexica Arcana, where players complete puzzles to unlock new recipes and abilities. Content spans enchanted armor sets, magical tools and weapons, wand foci with unique powers, automated golem servants, essence pipe networks for transporting magical liquids, and a deep endgame progression involving forbidden knowledge and eldritch exploration. The mod also introduces new biomes, over a dozen unique creatures, custom trees and plants, and a boss dimension to challenge experienced players.
