In Terrafirmacraft, it is normally impossible to obtain String without Spiders. either you farm Sheep for the privilage of having a Bow, or you install another mod just to get a thread.
This mod fills in that gap: starting with a Copper Anvil, you can smith your first Crook, and harvest Silkworms from leaves; and after infecting a Silkworm Habitat and letting it sit for a few days, harvest it with your Crook to obtain Silk String!
