Spell Engine Use Key Fix is a lightweight compatibility addon for Spell Engine on Minecraft 1.20.1 Fabric that moves Spell Engine's special Use Key action from the vanilla right mouse button to a configurable Minecraft keybind.
This allows the right mouse button to remain available for item and weapon abilities, such as the unique abilities of Simply Swords weapons.
Alt + R, Ctrl + R, and Shift + R when Modern KeyBinding is installed.Spell Engine normally uses Minecraft's vanilla Use Key, which is bound to the right mouse button, as a special input for spell casting.
This can conflict with weapons that also use the right mouse button for their own abilities.
Spell Engine Use Key Fix redirects that special action to a separate configurable keybind while leaving the vanilla right mouse button available for normal item usage and weapon abilities.
When Simply Swords weapons are used as spell-hosting items, the addon also prevents Spell Engine's item cooldown lock from applying the spell cooldown directly to the weapon. This keeps the weapon's own ability cooldown separate from the Spell Engine spell cooldown.
