This mod is inspired by early game rust, edited to fit better into vanilla Minecraft, this adds features such as hemp and cloth, bone tools, and a replacement to stone.

If you haven't used this mod before I highly recommend using this with the bonus chest to start out with, you will only find one item Survival for dummies! I created this book to properly highlight the features of this mod without you having to come back to this page over and over. It also gives you a vanilla option of obtaining the book as it cannot be crafted.

Firstly you will notice you can still punch trees, but like stone, will yield nothing if you haven't got the right tool on you. You will need to work your way up through the sharpened stick, made by placing it in your inventory, then to bone tools, being the dagger and club, the dagger is for self defense, and the bone club works as a multi tool, being able to mine both wood and stone. After gaining enough rock shards you can then make stone tools, but only the pickaxe, axe, and shovel, all tools are unlocked with iron tier, reason being because I thought that would give more of a fair challenge!

You will find 2 new items spawning in your world, the shrub, giving sticks upon destruction, and the hemp plant, used to gather cloth, just like in a certain game. Cloth may just be your most valuable resource early game, used in many crafting recipes such as the stash, an early game alternative to the chest, also able to sneak + right click on it with a shovel to bury it for later. Satchel charge, placed on blocks for a very small explosion, and a chance of fizzling out. Bandages, which heal 1 heart per use, and burlap armour.

You can also create barricades and spike pits, both act like cobweb and deal damage, barricades can be collided with however.

You have a chance of collecting a leaf after mining hemp, placing it on a campfire will roast it, and with paper and a random plant, will give you a suspicious joint, working like suspicious stew but with some differing effects!
