Not enough GORE in your Minecraft combat?
Steve's Blood Particles is a simple cosmetic mod that adds in particle bleeding mechanics and a bleeding potion effect when entities take damage.
The Bleeding potion effect does nothing other than spawn blood particles for that entity.
The blood particles are highly configurable, and there are 7 colors; red, aqua, white, black, purple, green, and orange.
Users can change how blood occurs, how much blood occurs, what mobs bleed what colors, and blacklist mobs from bleeding entirely using the built-in configuration files.
