Mo' Creatures Modern is for updated Minecraft.
Right now, it is in beta. Meaning there are known bugs, crashes, etc. So use it in a test world. I've been working on this one for a long time, updating to the latest version, then again when a new one came out, then just kept it a secret until I had a semi-working version to ensure I had something to show as a proof of concept of sorts, and it being updated enough that no one can easily backpedal off the idea like has happened in the past.
If you're coming here from my old Mo' Creatures project, this beta is working way better because I've improved and actually know how to mod without relying on Mcreator. This version doesn't use it at all.
Without further ado, here's what is semi/kinda implemented:
- Most mobs are implemented and spawnable via spawn eggs/commands (play around with the commands; I can't remember the working one off the top of my head, but I know the one I implemented doesn't work. Use summon instead
- Horse breeding should work. I haven't tested it in a bit because I was fixing the game-breaking bugs, so genetics might not be implemented fully/might be bugged rn
- Eggs work, such as wyvern/etc. Texture is bugged. Some animals (like snake) spawn large instead of baby. Tested so far is creative mode (like getting the eggs from there), not sure if drops work 100%
- Taming should work; haven't tested it in a bit because again, huge mod. I know the GUI pops up when an animal is tamed to name the animal.
Known bugs:
- Wyvern portal staff use crashes the game
- All rideable mo' creatures mobs (horse, wyvern, etc) are mountable but do not move when ridden/aren't controllable yet
- Some big cat textures are glitched out
- Manticore wings look broken
Remember, this version is not the full version. It's not my latest version either, just one I felt comfortable releasing to the public for sharing as proof it's possible, y'know?
