Description
Minium Stone is discontinued as of 2025-07-02.

Minium Stone adds a unqie item by the same name to your game! This unique stone allows you to transmute materials into others either by crafting them together with the stone, or by interacting with blocks in the world.
A reimplementation of the old Philosopher's Stone from Equivalent Exchange 2, reimagined for modern Minecraft.

▶️ Craft you minium stone from a diamond and minium shards rarely dropped by various monsters.
▶️ Use your minium stone to interact with blocks in the world to transmute them into alternatives. When doing so you can change both the area of effect, as well as the block selection mode. You can also crouch to apply transmutations in reverse.
▶️ Your minium stone also contains an on-the-fly 3x3 crafting grid, simply press the assigned key while holding the stone in your hand.
▶️ Any block you can trannsform in the world can also be crafted with your minium stone to achieve the same transformation in item form.
▶️ The minium stone can also smelt up to 7 items instantly, by crafting everything together with a piece of coal.

⏩ INSTALLATION REQUIRED ON CLIENT & REQUIRED ON SERVER
⏩ REQUIRES PUZZLES LIB TO BE INSTALLED (FORGE & FABRIC)
⏩ REQUIRES FABRIC API TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)
⏩ REQUIRES FORGE CONFIG API PORT TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)

Configuration is easily possible directly from in-game using the mod menu (requires Mod Menu by Prospector to be installed on Fabric) by installing Forge Config Screens.
When it comes to manual configuration all files are found at .minecraft/config
, named as MOD_ID-client.toml
, MOD_ID-common.toml
, or MOD_ID-server.toml
depending on the type of config. Not all types might exist for this mod if any.
Note that on older mod versions server configuration files are found at .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/serverconfigs
, effecticely meaning they must be configured separately for each individual world.

🌟 Thanks a lot to Pahimar and X3n0ph0b3 for originally coming up with the concept of the Philosopher's Stone for their old Equivalent Exchange 2 mod. The Minium Stone mod mostly represents a reimplementation of said item for modern Minecraft versions.
🌟 The sounds used for certain minium stone actions are taken from the ProjectE by SinKillerJ under the conditions of the MIT license.
🌟 The textures used for the items in this mod are taken from the RetroExchange by modmuss50 under the conditions of the MIT license.
🌟 Parts of the block selection appearance and behavior are loosely adapted from the FTB Ultimine mod by FTB.
