A custom attribute system built on top of Minecraft's vanilla attribute system.
Version 0.4.0 expands the original mining-focused system with new attributes for block breaking, movement, interaction range, foraging, and quality-of-life features.
Even though this mod uses vanilla attributes and text displays, it must be installed on both the server and the client to function properly.
It is currently only usable with the /attribute command and mods will come that use this one as a requirement.
Feel free to use it in a modpack, even without making credits for it (I'll be very happy 😊) and comments are welcomed
The attributes in this mod are designed around a base value of 100.
In general, 100 represents the normal vanilla behavior or a 100-based scaling , while higher or lower values scale the corresponding attribute accordingly.
Examples:
For example, Mining Reach uses a base value of 450, which corresponds to 4.5 blocks of reach, matching the vanilla Minecraft value.

Determines how many additional blocks are mined automatically.
Mining Spread is only active when holding a pickaxe.
For every 100 Mining Spread:
There are three types of Mining Spread:
All applicable Spread values are combined when a block is mined.
Ore Mining Fortune and Block Mining Fortune use the same calculation.
For every 100 Fortune:
For example:
554 Fortune → 5 guaranteed additional drops + 54% chance for another.
The Fortune system is designed to remain compatible with mods that add new ores while following Minecraft's usual ore block and drop naming conventions.
This means that modded ores can benefit from the Fortune system without requiring specific compatibility code for every individual mod, as long as they follow the expected vanilla-style naming and drop structure.

Excavation works similarly to Mining Spread, but is specifically designed for common terrain blocks such as dirt, sand, gravel, and similar blocks.
It is only active when holding a Shovel.
Excavation allows multiple suitable blocks to be broken automatically at once.
Speed controls the player's movement speed.
Breaking Speed increases how quickly you break blocks (compatible with the Efficiency Enchantment and the Haste potion effect).
Higher values result in faster block breaking.
Mining Reach increases the distance from which you can interact with and break blocks.
The default value is 450, which corresponds to 4.5 blocks of reach (vanilla value).

Cleave allows you to break multiple connected logs at once.
Its calculation is similar to Mining Spread, but instead of increasing the number of mined blocks, it increases the number of connected logs broken simultaneously.
Essentially, it is a Treecapitator-style mechanic.

Displays a floating damage indicator whenever you hit a mob.
It can be enabled or disabled with:
/gamerule showDamageIndicator
It is disabled by default as it spawns a text display so an entity (Don't worry it will despawn).

Displays information about the target's health.
It can be enabled or disabled with:
/gamerule showHealthIndicator
It is disabled by default because it uses the vanilla nametag system (Don't worry mobs can still despawn I think).
The Health Indicator uses Minecraft's vanilla naming system for entities. This does not prevent mobs from despawning normally.

The Fortune system, the mining spread, the health indicator system are designed to remain compatible with mods that add new ores while following Minecraft's usual ore block and drop naming conventions, minecraft tags, and minecraft registery naming.
This means that modded ores can benefit from the Fortune system without requiring specific compatibility code for every individual mod, as long as they follow the expected vanilla-style naming and drop structure.
Don't use it, it is imcomprehensible even for me
A debug attribute menu is available by pressing Right Control.
The interface is currently a work in progress and is intended primarily for debugging purposes.
A complete visual overhaul is planned for a future update.
The Fortune enchantment has been reworked to provide mining attributes instead of only modifying vanilla ore drops.
Each level of Fortune provides:
Experience drops and block drops have also been adjusted to better fit the new mining system.
Copper Ore now drops exactly 1 item without Fortune, instead of using the vanilla-style variable drop amount.
The Fortune system is designed with mod compatibility in mind and can work with modded ores that follow Minecraft's standard naming conventions for ore blocks and their corresponding drops.
This mod is still WIP.
More attributes, mechanics, balancing changes, mod compatibility, and quality-of-life improvements are planned for future versions.
