GENERAL OVERVIEW:
'Insightful Tooltips' is a lightweight clientside mod that improves the text of various item tooltips throughout the game. Every single feature is configurable and each can be adjusted via the mod config. Should be fully compatible with all other mods, even those that similarly alter tooltips.
NEW ITEM TOOLTIPS:
Ranged Weapons:
• Bows & Crossbows display their stats [default: true]
• Display Max Damage (assuming full charge) and Charge Speed
• Dynamically accounts for Power and Quick Charge enchantments
• Trident now displays charge speed as well [default: true]
Tools:
• Now also display Mining Speed [default: true]
• Dynamically scales to account for Efficiency enchantment
Horse Armour:
• Now displays stats like regular Armour [default: true]
Potions:
• Added potion tooltips to all effects missing them (so most of them)
• Individually configurable for each status effect ['default: true' for all]
• Supports all vanilla effects, even those without potions in vanilla
• Should also work for tipped arrows, modded potion variants etc
BETTER DURABILITY TOOLTIPS:
Better Durability Info:
• Slightly darkened durability text [default: true]
• Accounts for the effects of the Unbreaking enchantment [default: true]
• Additionally now displayed as a percentage [default: true]
Display Repair Item:
• Beneath durability, displays anvil repair item [default: true]
• For items without one, displays 'No anvil repair item' [default: true]
IMPROVED TOOLTIPS:
Better Enchantments:
• Enchantments are now Pink, or Purple if max level [default: true]
• Curses are unchanged, but the Red looks good with the Pink & Purple
• Protection-type armour enchants show their exact effects [default: true]
Better Potion Effects:
• Item tooltips dynamically account for active status effects [default: true]
• Supports Strength, Weakness, Haste, and Mining Fatigue
• Can affect Attack Speed, Attack Damage and Mining Speed
Better Item Rarities:
• Changes the colour of various item tooltips to fit better [default: true]
• Most noticeably most golden items are now Uncommon (gold)
• Rare ocean items like Tridents or the Heart Of The Sea are now Rare (cyan)
• Some end-themed items like Ender Chests or Elytra are now Epic (purple)
• Cursed enchanted books are now Common (white)
Backported Vanilla Weapon Tooltip Tweaks:
• Attack Damage is now listed before Attack Speed [default: true, 1.15.2 or older only]
• Weapon tooltips are now dark green like newer versions [default: true, 1.12.2 only]
ADDITIONAL ITEM TAGS:
Better Food Tooltip:
• Display text for non-standard eat speed (e.g: honey bottle, dried kelp) [default: true]
• Can be configured to alway show even for normal food [default: false]
• If you want a mod that shows other food stats, I recommend Appleskin
Bonemealable Tooltip:
• Subtle tooltip for blocks that can be bonemealed [default: true]
Compost Value Tooltip:
• Subtle tooltip showing compost value of items [default: true]
• Also in my 'Better Composter' mod, so if this appears twice just disable it in either mod.
Fuel Value Tooltip:
• Subtle tooltip showing fuel value of items [default: false]
CLEANER TOOLTIPS / REDUCED CLUTTER:
Reduced Clutter:
• Removed item ID from advanced tooltips [default: true]
• Removed NBT data from all tooltips [default: true]
• Removed UUID data from item tooltips [default: true]
Cleaner Crossbow 'Loaded' Tooltip:
• Removed unnecessary whitespace and square brackets [default: true]
• Tweaked colour slightly to blend in better
Cleaner Armour Tooltip
• Shortened 'Armour Toughness' to 'Toughness' [default: true]
• Shortened '[X] Resistance' to '[X] Resist' [default: true]
