Your vanilla furnace finally grows with you — and travels with you. Furnace Mastery turns the plain Furnace, Blast Furnace, and Smoker into a progression system: each one earns Mastery XP, levels from 1 to 10, and unlocks faster, more fuel-efficient smelting per block. It adds no new blocks, textures, or recipes and reuses the vanilla furnaces you already have, so you can drop it into an ongoing world with nothing to rebuild — and when you break a furnace, its level, XP, counters, lock, and banked XP come with it to wherever you place it next. Speed boosts finish recipes sooner without using more fuel per item (faster, never cheaper), and your existing hopper smeltery keeps working and levels up just the same.

Side: Client and Server — install on both sides (mastery state is tracked server-side and synced to the client).
.jar file in your .minecraft/mods/ folder.Q: Can I include this in a modpack? A: Yes — Furnace Mastery is MIT licensed.
Q: Does this work on servers? A: Yes, install on both client and server.
Q: Do the speed boosts waste more fuel? A: No. Overdrive and Momentum finish recipes sooner but burn fuel proportionally, so items-per-fuel stays exactly the same. Fuel Efficiency is the only ability that changes items-per-fuel, and it makes fuel last longer.
Q: Is it safe to add to an existing world? A: Yes. No new blocks, items, recipes, or fuel types — it only enhances the vanilla furnaces you already have.
A bigger edition — Furnace Mastery 2.0.0 — is in development and planned for release in about a month. It extends the progression to 15 levels with more abilities (Heat Retention Mastery, Smart Filtering, Complete Mastery, and more). If you'd like to support the project, you can get early access through Patreon; 2.0.0 will be released free on CurseForge and Modrinth later.
