Discover mining communities beneath the Overworld, settlements tucked inside Nether caverns, and villages built across the End’s larger islands.
Dimensional Villages adds complete settlements with connected roads, houses, villagers, iron golems, workstations, and loot—not just a lone building in an unusual location. Meet ten new villager types, unlock specialized exploration supplies, and discover how village life adapts to each dimension.
Originally developed as part of Extreme Randomizer, the village system became its own standalone mod. Extreme Randomizer is not required.
Nether and End villages generate in their native biomes. You do not need randomized Overworld biomes—or another mod—to make them appear.
Each specialist has a dedicated workstation, distinctive appearance, and trades that progress through Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master.

|---|---|---|
| Prospector | Surveyor’s Table | Raw ores, underground exploration maps, and rare ore blocks |
| Lantern Keeper | Lamplighter’s Bench | Torches, Glowshroom Lanterns, Night Vision brews, and froglights |
| Relic Collector | Relic Display | Archaeological finds, brushes, decorated pots, and Sealed Relic Boxes |
| Ash Smith | Infernal Anvil | Nether minerals, pickaxes, and Heatguard Boots |
| Ember Alchemist | Ember Still | Brewing supplies, Cinder Flasks, and the Dreamweave Robe |
| Void Cartographer | Void Charting Table | End City maps, chorus supplies, and village-bound Recall Pearls |
| Sky Weaver | Sky Loom | Scaffolding, fireworks, and emergency Featherfall Charms |
| Definitely Not a Witch | Dubious Cauldron | Golden carrots, Mystery Potions, and entirely trustworthy brewing supplies |
| Retired Adventurer | Trophy Rack | Food, shields, experience bottles, and a limited enchanted heirloom |
| Suspicious Merchant | Shady Crate | Questionable Bargains, cheap damaged tools, TNT, and suspicious stew |
Cave specialists wear mining-themed equipment. Nether and End residents have their own local specializations, while the three rare visitors can appear in settlements across dimensions.
Eligible untraded adults have a 60% chance to become a local specialist. Each settlement also receives a saved 25% chance for one rare visitor, keeping ordinary villagers part of the community.
Trades and progression persist through saving and reloading. Specialists restock once per Minecraft day while loaded. Higher-tier supplies have limited stock, and the Retired Adventurer’s strongest heirloom never restocks.
An Expert Ember Alchemist sells the Dreamweave Robe.
Wear this lightweight chestpiece to sleep in Nether and End beds without causing an explosion. It also sets a working bed respawn point in that dimension.
The robe offers only leather-strength protection: 3 armor points and 80 durability. Its purpose is dimensional sleeping, not powerful combat protection.
You do not need to wear it when respawning, but your bed must still exist and have enough room nearby. Normal nearby-monster sleeping restrictions still apply unless another mod changes them.
Discover twelve custom supplies, including portable cave lighting, Night Vision brews, archaeological reward boxes, fire protection, structure maps, village-bound recall items, emergency fall protection, and mystery bargains.
These items are designed to support exploration without replacing Minecraft’s normal progression.
Dimensional Villages does not replace terrain generation or biome distribution.
The Fabric edition includes optional support for Terralith, Biomes O’ Plenty, Tectonic, and Waystones, and works alongside Extreme Randomizer.
With Waystones installed on Fabric, newly generated surface, cave, Nether, and End villages receive their own functional Waystone.
Both Fabric and NeoForge editions work independently or alongside Extreme Randomizer. Third-party NeoForge integrations have not yet been certified.
When paired with Extreme Randomizer, its randomized chest-loot rules also apply to these villages.
Available for Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge, using Java 25.
