Coffers: Shared Bank

Shared Item Bank

One shared, infinite bank that every Coffer opens, in every dimension. A personal bank for each player, crafting straight from the bank, hotbar refill, and a screen like the creative inventory that stays fast with 100 000 kinds of item. Built around one rule: never lose or duplicate an item.

Features

One shared bank for everyone. Craft a Coffer and place as many as you like, in the Overworld, the Nether, the End: every one opens the same storage. There is no limit to how much it holds.

Your own personal bank. One click away inside any Coffer (the tabs on the left), and anywhere with B or the button in your inventory. Only you can open it.

A screen like the creative inventory.

  • Every creative tab, modded ones included, plus ★ Favourites, Recent and Other. Empty tabs hide themselves.
  • Search as you type: plain words for names, @mod, #tag, $tooltip text, all combined.
  • Sort by count, name, mod or what changed recently. Counts read 1.7k, 2.3M.
  • Worn copies of a tool share one tile (◆), and a take gives you the least worn. Shulker boxes show their contents.
  • A Controls page (the book tab) explains every click and key.

Crafting from the bank. A crafting table within 8 blocks of a Coffer, and your own 2x2 grid when you stand near one, use the shared bank: the recipe book lights up with everything the bank can make, filling a recipe takes from the bank, and the grid refills after each craft. Nothing from crafting ever lands on the floor.

Hotbar refill. Place your last block, eat your last steak, break your pickaxe: the slot refills from your inventory, then your personal bank, then the shared bank. With Inventory Profiles Next installed, IPN's own refill goes first and its locked slots are respected.

Auto-collect, a polite magnet, and rules (all off until you turn them on). Picked-up items go to your personal bank; the magnet pulls nearby items to you, never thrown ones, items in a hopper's reach or items a claim protects. Set a rule on any item or tag: keep it in your inventory, send it to the shared bank, or never pick it up. "Send ▸ Shared" moves your personal bank's to-shared items across in one click.

Settings for the host. /coffers config shows every setting as a clickable panel: who may take from the shared bank, crafting reach, the magnet's range, refill from the shared bank, and more. Settings live in the world, so they travel with it.

Crafting

A Copper Chest (any oxidation, waxed or not) in the centre, four Emeralds in a plus around it.

Your items are safe

Coffers saves the bank and every player's inventory together, as one, at every save. A crash, a frozen PC or a pulled plug can only ever leave the last complete save, never a half: no item is lost, and none is doubled. This is tested by simulating a crash after every single disk operation (over 100 000 crash points), and by killing a busy server twenty times in a row and checking every item after each restart. Coffer blocks hold nothing themselves, so breaking one loses nothing.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API, Java 25.
  • Install on the server and every client (singleplayer, LAN or a dedicated server).

Commands

  • /coffers config: the settings panel (host and operators).
  • /coffers rule <keep|forward|ignore|none> <item or #tag>: a rule for yourself, by item or by tag.
  • /coffers audit, /coffers diag: totals and diagnostics, for bug reports.

Good to know

  • Items lying on the ground and in ordinary chests are saved by Minecraft as usual; Coffers' own guarantee covers the bank and the players' inventories.
  • On a server that checks accounts, a player whose account could not be verified keeps the shared bank, but not a personal bank, for that session.
  • Works alongside Inventory Profiles Next, Open Parties and Claims and Collective.
