CIT Resewn (NeoForge)
CIT Resewn is a NeoForge port of
SHsuperCM's CIT Resewn, originally
made for Fabric. It re-implements MCPatcher / OptiFine's CIT (Custom Item
Textures) feature for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, allowing resource packs to
replace item visuals when an item matches selected conditions.
Overview
MCPatcher introduced Custom Item Textures, later adopted by OptiFine, as a way
for resource packs to swap an item's texture or model based on the item stack
being rendered. CIT Resewn brings that workflow to NeoForge while preserving the
familiar
.properties-based pack format used by many existing CIT packs.
This is a client-side rendering mod. Its scope is visual replacement: item
models, item textures, armor, elytra, and enchantment glints.

1.21 data components while avoiding unsupported arbitrary legacy NBT matching.
- Includes caching and indexed lookups for lower render-time matching overhead.
- Exposes a small API surface for registering CIT types, conditions, and global
property handlers.
