BUTTERFINGERS

Working machines for your base. A clumsy-but-earnest servo arm that sorts your chests, greets you at the door and puts out fires; sentry turrets for close defence; and a missile battery built to be mounted on high ground, watching over a whole city.

Every machine is drawn as runtime vector geometry in a gunmetal, military hardware style: armour plate, rivets, hazard striping, cooling fins, worn paint. No film assets, no bundled audio.

The machines

• Servo Arm — place it between two containers and it moves items across, showing what it carries in its claw. Four duties: sorting, greeting, fire watch, cleaning. A config screen tunes it.
• Sentry Turret — close-range self-defence. Tracks the nearest hostile, leads the shot, and holds fire on friendlies.
• Missile Battery — long-range area defence for a fortified position. Slow to traverse, hits hard, and aims at the densest cluster of hostiles instead of the closest one. Needs high ground to earn its keep.

Notes

• Needed on both server and client — these are blocks, not a HUD.
• Sibling projects: VECTOR HUD (client-only flight and combat HUD) and VECTOR HOLOGRAM ITEMS (holographic monitors and projectors). All three are independent.
