You start game with 3 lifes, every time  you die you lost 1 life, if you lost all lifes your game mode will be changed to spectator and you can't do anything more in this world.

How to start the game with mod?

If you want to play with this mod you have to install it and create world in survival mode. (Of course, you can also join the existing world)
