This is what happened when I made a copy of the TNT Chunk world I made in the saves folder and blew up the copy's chunk of TNT. It was laggy, but even though I had an average computer at the time, it didn't crash.
I'm uploading the crater as well as the unexploded chunk of TNT so that you can see the damage if you don't want to suffer terrible lag. Some bedrock was replaced with TNT, so there is a hole into the Void.
