Hey everyone, I was fooling around with some elevator designs by other people for survival.
Most design used minecarts and even though that worked fine I thought it might be fun to try some experimenting with boats instead.
Unlike minecarts, if you block all sides around a boat, you'll always spawn on top of the boat since they are solid.
I thought of an idea to use this to make an elevator with extra long gaps between the boats.
The Design:
A 3x3 building-block circle with a boat on top of a torch in a hole in the center.
Cobblestone Walls on North, East, West and South and Fences in the 4 corners.
How to use:
Enter the first boat, hold shift, look up and spam or hold rightclick. Since you instandly leave the boat because you hold shift, you get a little extra height after each boat and you can make the spaces between the boats 1 block larger compared to regular minecart elevators.
