Half Dome

Experience the beauty of Yosemite Valley like never before - built in Minecraft at a 1:1 scale! This map includes Half Dome, Quarter Dome, and Yosemite Falls (although it is located at the edge of the map). Built using 1 meter resolution LiDAR data, all landscape features are almost exactly where they should be in real life!

Features:

• 1:1 scale map of Half Dome and Yosemite National Park
• Massive cliffs that extend well beyond the standard Minecraft world height
• Lush, forested valleys and towering mountain peaks

Project Details:

This map was created using QGIS, Worlpainter, and high resolution LiDAR data (USGS)

Notes:

• This map works best with the Distant Horizons mod and shaders (Bliss is my personal favorite)
• There is no water at the moment, as I wanted to preserve the topography (it may be added in future updates)
