Created on Minecraft version 1.21.6.
A multiplayer-friendly datapack that adds a custom totem allowing players to come back to life in Hardcore mode. Requires another player to perform the resurrection — one last chance to cheat death and continue the adventure together!

What it adds:

  • A new crafting recipe for the Totem of Resurrection
  • Indestructible armor stands that appear at the location of a player's death
  • The ability to resurrect a dead player (if they're still on the server) by throwing the totem at their armor stand
  • A "Resurrection" advancement granted upon returning to life

How to install data packs

  1. Download the data pack .zip file (do not extract it).
  2. New world: click Data Packs on the world creation screen and drop the .zip in. Existing world: open .minecraft/saves/<world>/datapacks.
  3. Put the .zip into the datapacks folder of the world (servers: world/datapacks).
  4. Run /reload in game (or rejoin the world) and check it with /datapack list.
