Presentation

This is the Die Or Lose datapack, fully made by BlaZzy.
This datapack is a challenge datapack based on vanilla gameplay, but with a twist: you must die at least once every 60 seconds.

If you die within the 60-second window:

  • You will not lose your items or XP (KeepInventory is ON).
  • You will respawn at the place where you died.
  • You will gain short spawn invincibility.

If you don’t die within the 60-second window:

  • You will die and lose all your items.
  • You will respawn at coordinates (0, 0) in the Overworld.

Admin Commands

To run these commands, you must be a server operator (or enable cheats in your world):

  • /function admin:sync_players → Synchronizes every player’s timer, so only one player needs to die to reset the timer.
  • /function admin:unsync_players → Unsynchronizes every player’s timer (default).

How to Use

To play with the datapack, you can either:

  • Place the datapack in the datapacks folder of your selected Minecraft world and reload the world (by quitting and rejoining if in single-player, or restarting the server).
  • Alternatively, when creating a new world, go to More → Data Packs → Open Pack Folder and drag the datapack into the correct folder. Once done, simply activate the datapack and create your world.
