Speak into the wind and let your words drift away.

WhisperWind turns chat into an ambient, discoverable experience. Players speak short messages into the wind, and those whispers physically drift across the world in the direction the speaker was facing, trailing soft particles as they go.

Any player who is attuned to the wind hears nearby whispers in chat, with the text fading from white to dark grey the farther the whisper is. Players can also map whispers around them, seeing each one by compass direction and distance.

Whispers live for a configurable lifetime before fading into silence, making each one a fleeting secret to stumble upon.

• 🗺️ Whisper Map — See nearby whispers listed by compass direction and distance with a /whisper map.
• 🔉 Distance Fade — Whisper text fades from white to dark grey based on how far away it is.
• ⏳ Fleeting Secrets — Whispers persist for a configurable lifetime, then quietly fade into the wind.

💬 Commands

/whisper <message> | /whisper listen [radius] | /whisper map Send a whisper into the wind, toggle or set your listening radius, or map nearby whispers by direction and distance.

📥 Installation

1. Drop WhisperWind.jar into your /plugins folder.
2. Restart the server (Minecraft 1.21).
3. Adjust config.yml to taste — no other setup required.
