Jkeypad (AuthMe Sign-In for Legacy Servers)

Jkeypad is a plugin for legacy Minecraft servers (1.2.5). Designed as a keypad extension for AuthMe, Jkeypad allows console and controller players to register and authenticate using physical, in-game sign keypads via signs instead of typing commands in chat.

🌟 Key Features

  • The Sign Keypads: Replaces the need for typing /register or /login by allowing players to tap signs to enter their PIN code.
  • In-Game Sign Builder: Easily place tactile numerical buttons ([tap] 1–9 and backspace) and set keypad bounds using setup signs ([settings] radius <number>).
  • Broad Legacy Server Support: Built specifically for legacy Java 8 server environments including MCPC+, CraftBukkit (1.2.0 through 1.2.5), and Spigot 1.2.5r1.3.

🎮 How it changes the player experience.

  • Eliminates Chat-Based Crashes for Console Players such as on the 3: On many legacy cross-play and console setup servers, opening the chat window to type long authentication commands (/register <password> <password>) consumes a massive chunk of console memory, often leading to client freezes or disconnects. Jkeypad fixes this entirely by making authentication purely interactive and in-world.
  • Movement radius limit: This plugin has feature whereby unauthenticated players cannot move away 10 blocks from the spawn, until they have authenticated via interacting with the signs.
