So. You have a cultivation world with qi in the ground and spirit stones in the mountains... and the machines humming beside it burn coal and run on Forge Energy as if none of that existed. 🔌 The furnace has never heard of a spirit stone. The rocket has never met a flying sword. 🗡️
Black Tech is the machinery a cultivation world would actually make. 🏭 Qi condensed into a current that wires can carry. Machines with the jobs you already know, remade to run on it - with their own faces, their own sounds and their own recipes out of the cultivation world's materials. A bridge to ordinary power that runs both ways, at a price that keeps spiritual machinery something you earn. And a whole workshop of blocks to raise it all in. ✨

A tech mod for Xiaoxiang Cultivation World. It reaches the base mod at runtime only - no file belonging to Xiaoxiang Cultivation World is ever modified. Take Black Tech out and its own machines and blocks leave with it; nothing else in your save is touched. 🔧
Every number on this page is the mod's own default, and every one of them is a setting - read and explained, with the Xiao Config Extension installed, on Black Tech's own entry in its Mods row. 🎚️

Everything starts here. Two casings from one craft:

Your first power. Spirit stones go in, Forge Energy comes out:

Set it down and right-click it to open its window. Drop a stone into the slot - or put a hopper on top and let a chest feed it for you. Each stone is taken whole, at its worth: a Low stone of ten qi becomes ten SE, and the Unwinder turns ten SE a tick into 1,000 FE.
💡 Quick look: sneak and right-click with an empty hand and the machine tells you what it holds, without opening anything.
The Unwinder hands its Forge Energy out of its sides and bottom to whatever takes power there - any mod's cable or machine. No cables yet? Craft Energy Relays (eight from one craft) and lay them in a line from the Unwinder to your machine. A lever on a relay switches the whole line on and off.
The Electric Spirit Furnace smelts anything a furnace smelts, from every mod, twice as fast. Ore in at the top, results out of the bottom, power in through the four sides:

In any machine's window, the die-shaped button opens the faces panel: six faces for items, six for energy. Click a face to turn it round - takes in → gives out → closed. A face set to give items pushes on its own, a stack at a time, into the chest, hopper or machine beside it. No hopper needed. 🎯
The redstone button above the inventory cycles: always on → on with a signal → on without one. A machine held by redstone stops completely and picks up exactly where it left off. 🔁
With Patchouli installed: a book, an iron ingot and a Low spirit stone make the Black Tech Codex. Every figure in it is read from the machines themselves, so change a setting and the page changes with it. ✨

🤔 "Does it work with Mekanism / Ad Astra / my other tech mods?" Yes. Every machine takes and gives Forge Energy on its faces, so Mekanism's cables, Ad Astra's and any other mod's carry it, and their generators can feed it. None of them is required. 🔌
🤔 "Why is condensing power back into stones SO expensive?" On purpose. 🐉 One SE unwinds into 100 FE, but it takes 1,000,000 FE to condense one SE back - ten thousand times as much. Power alone is a slow road to spiritual machinery, never a free one: run a loop through both machines and you keep one SE in every ten thousand. No infinite-stone machines here. 😄
🤔 "Can I change the numbers?" Every single one. Forty-one settings, each with a description of what raising or lowering it does. With the Xiao Config Extension, they're on a page of their own with sliders. 🎚️
🤔 "My Unwinder stopped taking stones." Its store is full - it never takes a stone when only part of it would fit, so nothing is ever lost. Give its sides somewhere to send the power, and it starts eating again. 🍽️
🤔 "What's the Immortal Spiritual Energy thing?" The fifth current, above SE. 💜 One Immortal Chi (a thousand qi) condenses into one ISE, and a fully condensed Immortal Spirit Stone holds 100,000 ISE. The Codex already explains it; the Immortal Transformer and the Immortal Spirit Stone come with Realm Expansion's leveled stones.
🤔 "Is it safe to add to an existing world?" Yes. Machines placed before a new setting arrived keep working exactly as they did - side settings, redstone and all. 🛡️

Qi is the cultivation mod's own measure - what a cultivator gathers and what a spirit stone holds. 🧘
Immortal Chi is what an Immortal Spirit Stone holds, the grade above Supreme. One Immortal Chi is a thousand qi. 💎
Spiritual Energy (SE) is the current Black Tech's own machines run on: qi condensed into something a wire can carry. One qi makes one SE. 🔋
Forge Energy (FE) is what every other machine mod runs on. One SE unwinds into a hundred FE - so a spiritual generator can feed an ordinary machine. Condensing FE back takes a million FE for one SE, ten thousand times what unwinding one gives. 🔁
Immortal Spiritual Energy (ISE) is the current above SE: one Immortal Chi condenses into one ISE, as one qi makes one SE, and a fully condensed Immortal Spirit Stone holds a hundred thousand ISE. 🐉
All six rates are settings, each one for one or a round figure ending in a zero, so everything divides cleanly into halves, tenths and hundredths. The one pair that must stay apart - FE out of one SE, FE to condense one SE - carries a warning beside it. 🎚️

A frame of blackened Xuan Iron, riveted, with one jade seam where the current runs. 🟩 As hard as an iron block, mined with any pickaxe, in its own creative tab. Every machine stands on one.
Spirit stones in, Forge Energy out. Each stone is taken whole, at its own worth - a Low stone ten SE, a Supreme stone ten thousand. Each tick ten SE unwind into 1,000 FE, handed out through the sides and the bottom - up to 2,000 FE a tick from a buffer of 100,000 - so a buffer that filled while its takers were full drains again. Its window shows the stone slot, the SE store and the FE buffer as bars with the figures on them. 🔋
The slow road back. ❄️ Power comes in through the sides and the top; every whole SE the buffer pays for is condensed - a million FE each - and once the store holds a stone's worth, a stone crystallises into the tray at the bottom: Low as it ships, Mid, High or Supreme by a setting, or none to keep the SE. A hopper under it takes the stones; so does a giving face, and so does its window. Ten million FE for one Low stone that unwinds into a thousand.
Sunlight into Forge Energy. It reads the sun exactly as a daylight detector does: twenty FE a tick at noon in a clear sky, less as the sun climbs and sinks, nothing at night - about two hundred thousand FE over a clear day. Rain leaves it three tenths. In the Sky Realm of Xiaoxiang Realm Expansion, with nothing above the islands, it gathers half again as much. 🌤️
Ores into more. 🪨 A grind every ten seconds at twenty FE a tick - four thousand FE a grind, taken in at up to four hundred a tick. A spirit stone ore comes out exactly as a Fortune III pickaxe would break it - never better, whatever the settings say - and every other ore, the game's and any mod's, comes out as two of its raw form.
Spirit stones burned into Forge Energy. A Low stone is 800 FE - four fifths of what the Unwinder makes of the same stone - and every grade above it ten times the one below, burned at eighty FE a tick into a buffer of a hundred thousand and pushed out at two thousand. It burns Realm Expansion's spirit stone blocks whole as its dense fuel, and a generator held by redstone keeps its fuel. 🔥
Three grades of store: Low 1.6 million, Mid 6.4 million, High 25.6 million FE, taking in on five faces at 1,600 / 6,400 / 25,600 FE a tick and giving out of the front at the same rate - so two batteries set face to face never pass the same charge back and forth. Break one and it keeps its charge on the item, shown as a bar and in its tooltip. 🔋
Feed a relay through any face and it hands the energy on through every face but the one it came in by. Energy never goes back the way it came, so a long line of relays carries its full rate end to end. Low 3,200, Mid 51,200, High 409,600 FE a tick. It only pushes - nothing can draw energy back out of it - its face glows and it crackles while energy passes, and eight of a grade plus one Refined Gold or High spirit stone make eight of the next. ⚡
Every furnace recipe from every mod, on Forge Energy instead of fuel, twice as fast: a hundred ticks for a smelt the furnace takes two hundred over, at 4,000 FE an item. It never pays for a tick unless the output has room, so nothing is ever lost. The coil in its mouth glows white-hot and it roars while it works. 🔥
Every machine is heard while it works: the Unwinder spins up, whirs and spins down; the Condenser charges and hums; the Sun Gatherer shimmers through the day; the Grinder grinds, the Generator thrums, a Qi Battery hums while charge moves, the Furnace roars and a Relay crackles. A machine chimes once when its store is full, and while it works its face comes alive - the coil turns, qi runs down the funnel, rays sweep the golden disc. 🎛️
And four records of the mod's own, each close to three minutes: 💿 Circuit Dawn, Qi Current, Black Sun and Cold Fusion - in dungeon, mineshaft and ancient city chests, or pressed from Cold Iron. Every sound has a subtitle in English and Spanish.
Thirty-seven blocks in the machines' dark-metal-and-qi style: Machine Casings (plain, vented, riveted), Machine Panels (plain, lined, and the Qi Circuit Panel, whose jade lines glow in the dark with a pulse of qi running along them), stairs and slabs for each, Black Glass, see-through Machine Frames, Catwalk Gratings that sit low or high and join into one floor, and sixteen Qi Lamps, one for every dye, re-dyeable. The casing family cuts into each other on the stonecutter. 🏗️

Machines raised as multiblock formations - and a Formation Diagram that shows you, block by block and layer by layer, how to raise one when you don't know where to start. Qi Batteries set in a 2×2×2 cube merge into one great battery, seamless, twice the size. And the great formations after them: reservoirs of qi as big as a house, and turbines that turn steam into power. 🐉
The machines of the tech mods you already run - the crushers, the separators, the pumps, the oxygen makers, the converters between the cultivation world's liquids - remade to run on spiritual energy, each with its window and its sounds. The eight above are in; the rest are raised one family at a time. 🛠️
Rockets as you know them, on chemical fuel. Spiritual rockets, on spiritual energy, that climb faster. And spiritual boats: flat-bottomed craft that cross the void sideways, on spiritual energy alone, at a flying vessel's pace. 🛶
