WhitelistGate is a lightweight, server-side mod that adds an independent nickname-based whitelist without using or modifying Minecraft's vanilla whitelist.json.
It is designed for server owners who want a separate, simple access list that works in both online and offline mode. Players do not need to install WhitelistGate on their clients, and the mod does not add a custom network handshake.
online-mode=true and online-mode=false.whitelist.json.mods folder.config/whitelistgate/whitelist.json and run /whitelistgate reload.Do not install WhitelistGate on player clients. It is intended to run only on the server.
All commands require permission level 3 and can be used by server operators or from the dedicated server console.
/whitelistgate enable
/whitelistgate disable
/whitelistgate add <nickname>
/whitelistgate remove <nickname>
/whitelistgate list
/whitelistgate reload
Enabling WhitelistGate does not kick players who are already connected. Disabling it immediately stops WhitelistGate from restricting new connections.
On an offline-mode server, players can choose any nickname, including a nickname belonging to another person. A nickname whitelist controls which names may connect, but it does not authenticate users or prove ownership of a Minecraft account.
