An forge counterpart of Independent Pets by lizin5ths for 1.16.4. Tamed pets will no longer follow their owners. They'll retain tamed behaviors, like cats bringing presents, but will not teleport or follow you if you move away. No more pets just sitting around!
Shift+right click toggles follow mode (either follow or don't). Normal sitting behavior is accessible with right click
Config allows enabling following individually for parrots, wolves, and cats. There's also a config option to make pets immortal (on "death", a strong debuff is applied to the owner and the pet continues to live)
