A guide for how to play the mod can now be found in the Book of Love item, by pressing the "Info" button on the home page. You can summon untamed waifus with the Book of Love. It is crafted by surrounding a book with four poppies. Opening the Book of Love will allow you to browse potential waifus that are currently available in the mod (more will be added in the future).
After you have spawned a potential waifu, you can open the Interaction Menu by Right-Clicking on her. Then, you can gift her an item that she likes in order to raise her Infatuation Meter. Raising the Infatuation Meter will unlock new interactions with the waifu, including the ability to finally tame her! To tame an untamed waifu, Right-Click on them with a Waifu Ring once the Infatuation Meter is completely full. This will unlock new interactions in the Interaction Menu. You can now change her outfit and even transform her into a Waifu Totem, which will allow you to store her or carry her around in your inventory as an item. If your tamed waifu dies, her totem will be added to your inventory so that she can be respawned.
You can Right-Click while sneaking on a tamed waifu to tell her to follow you, to stay put, or to wander around freely. Tamed waifus will fight for you, unless they have been told to stay put or you have disabled their ability to fight in the Book of Love. Waifus will slowly regenerate health after being hurt, but can be manually healed by giving them head pats in the Interaction Menu. Some waifus have 'quirks', which amounts to special behavior unique to them. For instance, Hinata will sometimes use her Byakugan each time she kills a mob, allowing you to see nearby mobs through walls. You can read more about quirks below!
There are also Mob-Waifus, which are less sophisticated waifus who lack an interaction menu but are much easier to tame. You can spawn a Mob-Waifu by using the Waifu Potion on certain mobs. They can then be tamed with their favorite item, and can be manually healed by giving them the same item that was used to tame them.
