Distant Horizons doesn't draw anything under VulkanMod. It generates LOD data, but nothing shows up. This mod fixes that, and if you also run Beryl, it puts the LODs into Beryl's shader pipeline so the distant terrain matches the world around you.
With VulkanMod + Distant Horizons:
With Beryl installed (optional):
Tested with my RTX3090 with near instant toggling between shaders on/off. Obviously with everything shader related mileage varies depending on which GPU you have but during normal gameplay the only time I noticed a frame drop was in entity-heavy areas (Modded villages, a few hundred cows, etc.)
| Mod | Version |
|---|---|
| Minecraft | 26.1.2 |
| Fabric Loader | 0.19.2+ |
| VulkanMod | 0.6.8 |
| Distant Horizons | 3.3.3 |
| Beryl (optional) | 0.2.1-alpha |
Client only. It doesn't need to be on servers.
This mod patches all three mods using the exact versions above. A newer Horizons or Beryl version may break it until it's updated. If something stops working after an update, check that your versions match before reporting a bug.
0.2.0: Beryl integration: lighting, fog, water shading, cloud shading, etc.
0.1.0: Distant Horizons renders under VulkanMod.
