Viking Legacy is a long-term Minecraft survival and adventure expansion inspired by the Viking Age, northern wilderness, and Norse mythology.
Set out across harsh northern lands, raise settlements from timber and stone, master the skills of survival and craftsmanship, uncover lost runes and relics, and build the strength to challenge legendary creatures and the divine realms beyond Midgard.
Latest Release: Viking Legacy 0.2.0 — Forged in Iron
Version 0.2.0 is now available, bringing Viking Legacy from primitive survival into full metalworking. Players can begin with Rock Piles, Flint, Fiber, and Rope; build tools at the Viking Workbench; refine blooms in the Bloomery; and forge Copper, Bronze, Wrought Iron, Steel, and Damascus Steel equipment at the Viking Forge.
This release also adds layered mail armor, material traits, shield bashing, repaired broken gear, expanded combat mechanics, JEI support, 23 new advancements, and The Skald’s Saga in-game guide book.
Future versions will continue building toward settlements, factions, raids, ships, wildlife, quests, legendary creatures, realms, and divine bosses.
